Welcome to 1st Vienna Harvest & Moonfest
🏮A mini Lantern Assembly Workshop before the Performance🏮
The moon, this beautiful celestial body in the night sky, not only influences Earth's tidal movements but is also believed by researchers to have a mysterious effect on human perception. Its waxing and waning have long been etched into the thousands of years old Chinese lunar calendar, deeply influencing various Eastern civilizations.
In Asia, the bright and clear moon is an indispensable and important cultural element, symbolizing reunion, gratitude, and harvest. With the support of Vienna's MA Integration and Diversity Department and the District Office of Favoriten (10th district), Asian in Wien, chuanmener, and various Asian community groups and schools in Austria will bring the power of the moon to Vienna. In this city where we live together, we will showcase the unity and diversity of the Asian community through an evening filled with spectacular performances, traditional music, and joy!
Community organizations from Austria, China, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, the Philippines, and other countries will perform (in no particular order).
We sincerely invite chuanmener's friends to participate in their traditional costumes!
Date: Friday, October 18, 2024, doors open at 4 PM, performances start at 5 PM
Venue: Festsaal der Bezirksvorstehung Favoriten, Keplerplatz 5, 1100 Vienna (near U1 Keplerplatz)

月亮是夜空中的一个美丽的天体，不仅对于地球的潮汐运动有影响，而且也被研究者认为会对人类产生超感知的神秘影响。月亮的阴晴圆缺写在了传承几千年的中华农历里，深深的影响了东方的不同文明。皎洁明亮的月亮是亚洲文化不可或缺的重要元素，象征着团圆、感恩和丰收。
10月18日周五，在维也纳市MA融合与多样性部门和10区Favoriten区办事处的支持下，Asian in Wien，chuanmener及奥地利多个亚洲民间社区组织和学校的伙伴们将月亮的力量带到维也纳。我们将在这个共同生活的城市里，以一个充满精彩表演、传统音乐和欢乐的夜晚来展示亚洲社区的团结和多样！
届时将有来自奥地利、中国、韩国、越南、印度尼西亚、泰国、尼泊尔、菲律宾等国家的社群组织参与表演。我们诚挚的邀请chuanmener的朋友们穿着传统服饰前来参与！
